Continuing Legal Education FAQ's
How much CLE do I need?
Missouri Attorneys:
Missouri: Missouri attorneys need 15 hours of CLE each year. 6 of those hours can be obtained by self study. Missouri
attorneys also need 3 hours of ethics credit, obtained within a 3 year cycle. This is the
first year of the cycle. The
15-Hour Review of the Law satisfies all requirements for Missouri in one day. (Up to 15 hours of CLE may be carried over
to the next year. The 6 hours of self-study permitted may not be carried over.)
Kansas Attorneys:
Kansas: Kansas attorneys need 12 hours of CLE each year. No self study is permitted. 2 of the hours must be ethics hours.
A maximum of 8 hours can be earned in a single day. Hence Kansas requires at least one and a half days of CLE. Kansas does
not credit matters that relate to law office management and operation or legal policy. The Kansas 8 + 4 program fulfills
all Kansas requirements by providing 8 hours on one day and 4 hours at any previous or subsequent 15-Hour program. Up to
10 hours of CLE may be carried over to the next year. No ethics hours may be carried over.
Illinois Attorneys:
Illinois: To learn about Illinois requirements go to:

We are applying for 12.5 hours of Illinois credit for out St. Louis Program.
Because of the fees Illinois requires, we charge and additional $15 for Illinois
credit.
Western District of Missouri Federal Court:
The Western District of Missouri Federal Court requirement has been rescinded.
How do I get it?
Do Kansas hours count in Missouri and vice versa?
For purposes of the 15-Hour Review of the Law and the Kansas 8 + 4, each hour qualifies for credit in both Missouri and
Kansas. (Remember that Kansans cannot get more than 8 hours in one day).
Ethics hours
Do the ethics hours count toward the required 15 or 12 hours? Yes.

Questions about the program
Do I need to take the Kansas part before the 15 Hour part? No. They are independent of each other.
Can I register at the door? Yes. "Walk-ins" are always welcome and there is no price penalty.
However, seating and materials
are not guaranteed for "walk-ins."
Will the class fill up? Possibly. We are bound by the space limitations of the particular location where we are holding the
seminar. Generally we plan to be able to accommodate between 500 and 600 attendees.
Can I pay by the hour? You can register for any one hour for $40. We offer shorter registration periods at rates that may be
cheaper than the "by the hour" options offered by other providers. For example, we offer two ethics hours for $75
at the Kansas 8 + 4. The hours qualify as ethics hours in both Kansas &
Missouri. We also offer 3 hour sessions from 1:10 p.m.- 3:40 p.m. and from 3:55
p.m. - 6:25 p.m. at the 15-Hour Review for $100. The Evening session of the
15-Hour Review from 7 - 10:20 p.m. offers 4 hours of credit for $85. The morning
(8 a.m. - 12:25 p.m.) session of the 15 Hour Review offers 5 hours of credit at
$145.
Can I reschedule? Yes.
Can I register for the entire program but attend different sections on different days? Yes. But you cannot attend the same
classes on two different days and count both.
