Charlene Wright is an a civil litigator at Schlee, Huber, McMullen & Krause whose practice primarily focuses on complex cases
arising out of fire, explosion or chemical exposure. She has handled litigation in 11 states in both Federal and State
Jurisdictions.
In addition to her work as a trial lawyer for the firm’s national practice, Ms. Wright is an Adjunct Professor at the University
of Missouri-School of Law, teaching Trial Advocacy. She is coach for the school’s American Association for Justice Trial Advocacy
Team and Co-Coordinator of the Trial Advocacy Program.
Ms. Wright came to Schlee, Huber, McMullen & Krause after serving as the Arson Prosecutor for Jackson County, Missouri. While at
the Jackson County Prosecutor’s Office, Ms. Wright handled cases from charging through jury trials. She received national training
in arson and explosives investigation and prosecution.
Ms. Wright earned a J.D. from University of Missouri, Kansas City where she was the recipient of the Ruby Hulen Honor Scholarship.
She was a member of the National AAJ Trial Team, earned the Trial Advocacy Award for her class, and was named to the Order of
Barristers. During law school, Ms. Wright completed internships for both the United States Attorney’s Office for the Western
District of Missouri and the United States Attorney’s Office for the District of Kansas.
