Paul, who is Chair of the firm's Bankruptcy and Creditors' Rights Practice Division, has over 22 years of experience in bankruptcy and
creditors' rights matters. His experience includes representing debtors, creditors, committees, trustees, buyers, landlords, franchisors
and various other parties in bankruptcy, workout and collection matters. He has chaired various local bar association committees, written
numerous seminar papers, and is a regular speaker at various continuing education seminars. He also is active in the community, most recently
serving as Chair for the Commercial and Bankruptcy Law Committee of the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association and past President of the
Alumni Group of the Centurions Leadership Development Program of the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce.

- Committee clients include the patronage refund certificate committee of Affiliated Foods, Inc., the unsecured creditors committees of CompuSpeak,
Inc., Stoico Restaurant Group, Inc., Albert Tamm Lumber Company and Barry Gann Lumber Company, and individual members of unsecured creditors
committees in Houlihan’s Restaurants, Inc., Wehrenberg Theatres, Inc. (St. Louis), and Mr. Gasket Company (Los Angeles).
Of Note
Paul has been continuously certified by the American Board of Certification in Business Bankruptcy Law since 1992. Dickinson Theatres,
Inc. was the first movie exhibition company to emerge from bankruptcy, completing its case in less than 4 months. Oread was a leading
pharmaceutical testing company that ended up developing a first-time protocol for preservation and transfer of drug testing information.
Paul was lead counsel for the TWA Inc. Post-Confirmation Estate in pursuing over 450 preference actions and hundreds of claims objections
in Delaware. He is currently representing Interstate Bakeries Corporation and seven affiliates in reorganization cases pending in the
Western District of Missouri. Paul is also an Adjunct Professor of Secured Transactions at the University of Missouri at Kansas City School
of Law.
