Sherri L. Wattenbarger
Sherri L. Wattenbarger is a trial attorney with the Office of the U.S.
Trustee in Kansas City, which is a component of the U.S. Department of Justice.
She is a 1993 graduate of the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law,
and former law clerk to the Hon. Pasco M. Bowman, II of the U.S. Circuit Court
of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit. Ms. Wattenbarger joined the U.S. Department
of Justice through the Attorney General’s Honor’s Program in 1994, serving
as a trial attorney in the Civil Division in Washington, D.C. before joining
the U.S. Trustee’s Office in Kansas City in 1997. Ms. Wattenbarger also has
served as an adjunct professor of law at UMKC teaching Consumer Bankruptcy Law.
She is active in a number of community organizations including the Women’s
Foundation of Greater Kansas City, the Women’s Intersport Network of Kansas City
and Cross-Lines Cooperative Counsel. Ms. Wattenbarger also is the national
chair of the Women’s Commission for U.S.A Triathlon, the governing body of the
sport of triathlon in the United States.
